Heirloom Tintype Portraits for Luxury Weddings
Artifacts of your most meaningful moment
Original Tin creates one-of-a-kind tintype portraits made by hand on metal, on-site, using a 19th-century photographic process. It’s both an heirloom for the couple and a meaningful guest experience, inviting moments of slowness, presence, and wonder within a modern wedding day. We also offer traditional photography and videography of your momentous day.
We welcome the opportunity to begin a thoughtful conversation about how tintype portraiture might complement your event.
Inquiries are reviewed personally, with care and attention.
The Tintype Process
Tintype photography predates film and digital imaging. Each plate is sensitized, exposed, and developed individually before your eyes, producing a singular photographic object.
Edges may be imperfect. Tonality may shift subtly from plate to plate. These qualities are evidence of process—visible traces of time, touch, and chemistry.
Tintypes are not designed to circulate mindlessly. They encourage consideration and reflection. They are made to endure.
