Heirloom Tintype Portraits for Weddings, Celebrations & Brand Events

Artifacts of your most meaningful moments

Original Tin creates one-of-a-kind tintype portraits made by hand on metal, on-site, using a 19th-century photographic process.

It's both a keepsake for your guests and a meaningful experience woven into the event itself — inviting moments of slowness, presence, and wonder into a wedding, celebration, or brand activation alike.

We welcome the opportunity to begin a thoughtful conversation about how tintype portraiture might complement your event.

Inquiries are reviewed personally, with care and attention.

The Tintype Process

Tintype photography predates film and digital imaging. Each plate is sensitized, exposed, and developed individually before your eyes, producing a singular photographic object.

Edges may be imperfect. Tonality may shift subtly from plate to plate. These qualities are evidence of process—visible traces of time, touch, and chemistry.

Tintypes are not designed to circulate mindlessly. They encourage consideration and reflection. They are made to endure.
