The Tintype Process

Tintype photography predates film and digital imaging. Each plate is sensitized, exposed, and developed individually before your eyes, producing a singular photographic object.

Edges may be imperfect. Tonality may shift subtly from plate to plate. These qualities are evidence of process—visible traces of time, touch, and chemistry.

Tintypes are not designed to circulate mindlessly. They encourage consideration and reflection. They are made to endure.
